Why do we need different dictionaries, or bad memories back to the University

I hate latin!! Really!! I remember myself back to the University trying to learn by heart “Gaudeamus Igitur, Yuvenes dum Sumus” and so on….hate it !

I still hate the teacher that was making us – future translators and teachers of English and German to learn and to read Latin. She was considered one of the best , but I was so bored during her classes that preferred just to skip them.
I could show up at class once, maybe twice during a month. So as you can understand when I showed up on the exam – I just failed it. I don’t remember why but I had to retake it next autumn. I think I will always remember this image – I m on an amazing beach with a Latin text book learning by heart – “Gaudeamus Igitur” – as a result I got B and forgot everything I have ever learned in Latin… can you imagine poor me?! I wish I could have a Latin Dictionary?! My life would be so much easier!
I also used to hate philosophy. At my University I also had a horrible course of the HISTORY OF PHILOSOPHY. I believe a course like that should not be a mandatory one. I remember we didn’t really develop ourselves, but were learning names and surnames of some philosophers. We didn’t deep ourselves in their theory, but in their lives and history… I am sorry – but who cares? Who cares when Plato had appendix or when Hegel finished his high school? I believe that if I would have a Philosophy Dictionary
I would pass this exam much easier and wouldn’t spend days and nights trying to find in the books all this useless data and trying to write it down and to remember.

By the way I also found an amazing Financial Dictionary which is just amazing. While a friend of mine just prefers to use a Business Dictionary. She is doing her MA in business, so she really need helo with her studies.

If you would like to learn more about dictionaries - you can read about it in Wikipedia
