Closing Translator Accounts
December 7, 2009 3:59 am System ImprovementsHi all,
I will close translator accounts with email addresses that are reported as undeliverable.
These entries in the database are only a burden to the system and delay sending the job notifications to those colleagues who are waiting for a job.
Translators with closed accounts will not be able to log in to their account. If you have reasons to believe that I closed you account on wrong reasons mistake - send me an email (ursula[at]babylon.com]

Ursula

at least you have to give the translator a prior notice via the secondary email address. Not just like this Ursula, we are respecting our career,so if there is something wrong with some translators emails, then we have just to notify them.
Thanks

But this is just my problem. I am talking about translator accounts that were provided with an email that is undeliverable. Usually the profile states only one email address, I have no secondary email to write to.
Be reassured, that I am doing this with greatest care. Only email addresses to have proven several times to be undeliverable will be deleted.

Is there a way to change the email address to which job notifications are sent (or to add a secondary one)? I couldn’t find a way to do so on my profile page. My first one is valid, but it’s a general one and I had to deactivate the forwarding to my business email address due to spam attacks. Consequently, jobs have been taken before I had a chance to see the notifications. TIA for your help with this.

Hi Anja!
I will answer your question in a new post. Think it is relevant to others as well.

I haven’t received job offers in months. Actually I was offered just three jobs so far. Two were taken one minute after being posted (without being read first, I suppose) and the third was cancelled before I had a chance to read it. I wonder if my email is on the “undeliverable” category or it is something else. This is very frustrating.

Hi Walkiria,
your account is not my list to be closed. More details in a private email. Keep on nagging me, in case you do not hear from me in the next three days (really me it, send me a email).
Regards,
Ursula
